You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it up to date. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
You retain full ownership of all recipes, photos, notes, and other content you create or upload to Simmer. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This licence terminates when you delete your content or account.
You agree not to:
Simmer offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis (monthly or annually as selected). You may cancel your subscription at any time; access to paid features will continue until the end of your current billing period. Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.
Simmer includes AI-powered features such as Chef Chat, recipe suggestions, and OCR import, powered by third-party AI services. AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and should not be treated as professional advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated suggestions, including nutritional information, ingredient substitutions, or cooking recommendations. Always use your own judgement, especially regarding food allergies and dietary restrictions.
The family sharing feature allows you to share recipes and meal plans with family members. You are responsible for managing access to your family group. Content shared within a family group is visible to all members. When you leave a family group, your access to shared content from other members will be revoked.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Simmer and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
We strive to keep Simmer available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with reasonable notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes that affect your use of the Service.
You may terminate your account at any time by using the account deletion feature in Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may export your data before deletion using the data export feature.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
